A walk-on prior to the 2006 season, Stephen Harrison has had one goal in mind since his true freshman season to help his team in any capacity. Harrison, who worked the scout team as a wide receiver his first three seasons on the squad, switched to defensive back during the spring of 2009. Through his hard work, Harrison started seven of the final eight games this past season. And, although he did not gain significant playing time until four games into the season, Harrison finished seventh in the Big 12 and 33rd nationally in passes defended. Harrison has joined a distinct class of walk-on players at K-State who have seen significant playing time, including three former players who are currently playing in the NFL.
